Faith Is The Victory

I have often used the wrong measure of victory or defeat in my life. I have thought of things I accomplished as victories and things I failed to accomplish as defeats. Those are not the true wins and losses. Faith in God IS the victory and unbelief in Him IS the defeat. If we accomplish much without faith it is still defeat. If we accomplish little or nothing with faith it is victory. If we trust Him it is victory regardless of the outcome. If we don*t trust Him it is defeat regardless of the outcome. When I fail to trust Him it should break my heart because faith in Him is what He deserves. When I trust Him He is pleased because I need faith in Him first, last and always and more than I need anything else.

Hebrews 11:6: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

1 John 5:4: For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Faith is the greatest victory and every other victory comes to us through faith, the victory of salvation, the victory of a moment by moment Christian life and finally and gloriously, the victory over death.

Ephesians 2:8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Galatians 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

2 Corinthians 5:7: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

1 Corinthians 15:54-57: So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Though our flesh sometimes interferes with it, our faith in God is our most valuable possession.
